Structure-based design & synthesis of bioactive molecules
Computational study of biomolecular structure & dynamics
Alexandros Athanasoulis, MSc
Alexandros is an organic chemist and a recently employed member of our project “ARIA”. He will employ his synthetic skills for the preparation of designed phosphinic-based ERAP1 inhibitors with peptidic C-terminal extensions that correspond to natural MHC-I antigens. The aim of this work is to employ these peptidomimetic inhibitors in an effort to stabilize and study a ternary ERAP1/inhibitor/MHC-I complex.
now To apply as a PhD candidate in Organic Chemistry at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, in collaboration with the Institute of Biosciences & Applications, NCSR “Demokritos”
2017 Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece
